DRINK!
... Come and drink
Wow! What a year it has been.
My posture through out the year had been gratitude. I woke up this month feeling more grateful than ever. It felt like I was in a gratitude bubble. Thanking him for the good, the delays, the promotions and disappointment.
As difficult as it sounds, I have learnt to thank God for everything. Over and over again he has proven that he has a sense of humor. He comes on time even when there seems to be a delay.
I urge you to live in a gratitude bubble not just this month but everyday forever. It makes the little seem perfect and the small feels enough. It reduces the confusion and puts you in a place of rest.
Today's letter is not focused on gratitude but I felt led to touch on this and start this way. When I started praying for the word for the month, I was unsure about what it was going to be. When I finally got it, I felt "again!".
Think of a time or a situation where you have been doing something then you go and ask for help and the person offering support tells you to keep doing what you have been doing, you'll go"again!".
Over the past 2 months we have been preparing, re-strategizing and working on the things God wants us to put in place ahead of the new year.
I am certain and I believe that there are still miracles in 2024 and I will testify and cry tears of joy, this will also be your reality in Jesus name.
Regardless of how small, or basic the instructions you have received are, please act of them, treat them with the urgency and seriousness that you would to an instruction you would consider "big".
God is such an excellent and organized God. So before he implements a currency change or system change he puts systematic process in place to ease the transition. I believe this is what he is doing. However, sometimes people ignore his instructions and just see the spontaneous changes. Please don't be this person.
This month the he wants us to Drink. John 4:7-14 shows Christ’s encounter with the woman at the well and his response to her, urging her to come and drink.
God is calling us to deeper intimacy. This lays more demands on our consecration, making us spend more time in his presence through prayers, study and worship.
Let me try to explain this, last year, I spent less time praying for 2024 than I have spent time praying for 2025 and I got clarity with a quarterly plan and all came to pass, Glory!
Over the pass 2 months, I have deliberately and consistently cultivated an atmosphere to hear and receive like I do. Waiting in prayers, worship and silence to hear. And after waiting for a while I'll get up without hearing anything. But I have continued. After series of consistent attempts, I now get up hearing a word or phrase.
It can be tiring to visit an office waiting for an answer and going through a slow process to get the response we desire, yet God is saying "Come and Drink". I have prepared a feast "Come and drink", "Come to the well and I will give you to drink”.
Right now, God is like that gym coach working gradually helping us to build consistency before increasing the weights, he watching us hit a landmark or milestone before revealing the next steps in more clarity, gradually increasing the quantity of our meal by one spoon in a way that we don't realize that we are eating more.
The more you drink, the fuller you become.
As you keep drinking there will be clarity.
As you keep drinking there will be strength.
As you keep drinking confusion disappears.
Drink with joy.
Drink with gratitude.
Drink with Kingdom as the focus.
Drink without weights.
Drink ready to receive.
Keep Drinking!
John 7:37
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
