The 2025 Sacrifice
I know exactly how you felt reading the recent letter, energetic yet unrecognized, encouraged yet weak, strengthened yet frail. God is intentional about us. This week, I started writing this letter in my head, but today, God pulled me out of an important meeting and took me home. When I arrived home, I was surprised as to why I left such an important meeting in a haste. Then he reminded me to write, and here I am writing his letter to you. This is how intentional he is about you.
Today, I will speak about trusting, referring to two major stories in the scriptures the story of Job and the Story of Samuel weeping over God's rejection of King Saul. For anyone wondering what the seed you need to sow for 2025 is, the answer is TRUST. Scriptures say will he make you carry till term and not allow you birth?
I know that we are all waiting for multiple significant divine interventions. I know that in at least one meeting between 2024 and now, you have been told since that things will change in March 2025 yet it looks bleak and your faith looks weak. I am here to tell you to trust.
I want to talk to a specific set of people, you trusted God for something in 2024, you were sure it was his will, you interceded, cried, trusted and waited till the last second yet that particular thing did not happen and here you are in 2025 with situations testing you faith in ways that are deeper than the 2024 incident did. Your answer is to trust. The book of Job tells of the trials he went through and the mockery from his friends, yet in his anguish, he magnified and trusted God. This should be your posture. Be vulnerable and trust. Even the Apostles were vulnerable in Luke 17:5 they asked God to increase their faith.
Dear God, it is me. It feels difficult to trust you but I choose to trust you, It feels hard to trust you but yet I trust you, my faith feels weak please increase my faith and help me trust you more. I call out to you and it feels like you are far but I know that you are working in the silence to deliver a breakthrough, I trust you.
Once has God spoken and twice have I heard that power belongs to God.
The weather may not be giving but the rain of my answers will fall soon.
The blessings of God that make rich without adding sorrows is my portion.
God will embarrass my household with testimonies.
I will cry multiple tears of joy this year because God will do exceedingly abundantly above all I can ask thing or imagine.
I rejoice because eyes have not seen neither have ears heard what the Lord is doing in my life, career, ministry, relationship and family.
And God remembered me.
Use your words to affirm your trust and confidence in God.
The second dimension of trust is something that is strange. When I saw it last year, I wasn't sure of what exactly it was. In-fact my mentor calls it benediction into breakthrough.
God had rejected King Saul and was ready to anoint a new King in 1 Samuel 16:1 yet Prophet Samuel was mourning over King Saul. God asked the prophet, how long will you mourn get up and lets get going. Tell King Saul "Goodbye and God bless, and lets go forward". Prophet Samuel eventually moved forward yet the idol of King Saul that he had in his heart made him almost anoint Eliab as King instead of David.
God showed you someone, he brought destiny relationships, but suddenly the person does not want to be part of this blueprint that God has showed you and you have been interceding and crying and saying "Oh God, please bring them back, restore them, please given another chance" yet their heart is like that of Saul and God is saying "How long will you mourn over King Saul seeing that I have rejected him?" say the benedictions and lets move into breakthrough without the idol of Saul so you can recognize the David for the job.
I know God has been bringing you into destiny relationship meetings this month, please discern them appropriately, and don't stay where God has left.
Again, the answer is trust.
Dear God, this is a hard decision; I trust your plans because they are higher and different from mine; I trust your ways because you have an expected end in mind; you brought Saul in contact with me and you will lead me to David's house and help me discern David. It is a hard decision yet I trust you.
The third and final dimension is something that a number of us can relate to. You see repetition of situations that happened in 2023 happening in 2025. The same people the same question with Kairos choices to be made. Trust God!
Bury idols, this is not the time to repeat past questions or choose to stand on the shoulders of giants solely, zoom out of your strength and analytics and trust God. The answer in 2023 may not be the answer in 2025, the answer in 2023 may be the answer in 2025. We are in a Kairos season, Trust God!
Another case under this scenario, in 2023 God asked you for something and you sacrificed it to him. Towards the end of 2024 and early 2025 it felt like he was trying to give it back to you but as you stretch your hand to collect it, it seems farther and farther from you. You are nervous, scared and confused. The answer is Trust!
He is testing your heart posture, getting rid of idols and preparing us by transforming our mind, hearts and characters into what he has prepared for us, making us people that can steward what is coming.
To receive we must give, we give to get. Before the rain falls he is asking us to make room for the rain that is coming. Big risk, big rewards; big faith, big trust, big breakthrough. Trust!
Remember, God doesn't bless in isolation. He orchestrates things in seasons. He sees your heart, burdens and tears, he cares. He doesn't want you to give up and he is encouraging you to trust. You are not alone. We are many and he knows exactly where the shoe is pinching us.
Some may trust in horses, others in chariots, but we will trust in the name of the Lord
My hope is in the name of the Lord
We may not see signs but we know that not one word will fall to the ground until his word has been fulfilled
We believe that all that he has said concerning us came to pass
He is giving us beauty for ashes
What is that promise that he has said concerning you? This is the time to declare it.
For all I have lost, he is giving me beauty for shame
For all that the worms have eaten he is restoring, he is giving us double for shame
For what seems like a sad reality, all things are working together for my good because I love the Lord and walk according to his purpose
In my weakness, he is my refuge and strength a very present help in trouble
I am marvelously helped by the Lord
I am the woman he rejoices and sings over
I believe the report of the Lord
His angels keep charge over me
The mercy of God speaks for me
His favour distinguishes me
This is the month where my life changes forever.
With God, it is okay to Trust fall!
