REFLECTIONS
Are we really ready to occupy?
There are prayers you make and there are prayers you hear.
This week I had a couple of conversations and I was reminded of how much we lack discernment in the body. We are so eager to receive prophecies and prophetic words and when they begin to play out we can not recognize them so we sit back and complain.
This would not be you but if you are this person please grow in discernment. God says if we want wisdom we should ask him in his name and he will give us. Ask and discern.
The year has barely started and there are concerns for worry, anxiety and mental health issues. Let me teach you something that I learnt last year.
If it is beyond your control then don't bother about it.
The conversations you are having about "If XYZ" and "If ABC" well neither of that happened and worrying about it does not solve your current problem.
A more practical example would be this,
There is a change in the price of a product that you use. Complaining and worrying would not reverse the price. So focus on what is within your control which is your earning and spending power. What can you do to earn more? How can you spend less? Is there a vendor that sells the product at a cheaper rate? What strategy can help you save cost (bulk purchase)
Before I dive into today’s letter, I want to remind you to please go back and read the previous letter.
The plot for occupying sounds like a thriller movie and many of us just want a seat with power, money, influence and impact given to us. I wish it was that simple but it isn't. Occupying is not for ourselves but for the Kingdom.
Occupying is warfare and there is a price for it.
Consecration is the price for greatness that is unique to you.
Just because someone is currently occupying a sector doesn't mean that is the sector that they have been called to.
Occupying is a journey not necessarily a destination.
Two believers can be occupying a sector yet have different personalities, varying levels of emotional intelligence and people management skills.
Some applications look for you and there are applications that you apply for.
But to get to this level one must go through the class of people management. There are rooms that you will not get into until you understand people management.
When I talk about the class of people management I am not talking about taking a course or reading a book (I highly recommend both) but going through life and understanding how people act and think.
For example,
We think teamwork is leading a team and working with people that we like but teamwork is actually
working well with people regardless of their various personalities.
As complex as the definition sounds so is the reality.
This year, let our spirituality reflect in our attitude and our personal life.
Have you gotten someone a gift and you call them to have a casual conversation so that they don’t suspect your surprise, but from the casual conversation you realize that they are not ready to handle your gift? That is exactly how I feel about the letter that I received about two weeks ago.
Hopefully it will be the next letter in your mailbox.
Someone shared a testimony with me this week from reading JAGUN JAGUN please read it if you haven’t read it.
Stay prayed up and discerning till I write to you next!
D Oracle!
